“I paint in the wonderful medium of silk painting, which is the most fascinating art form I have ever worked with. My paintings have much the same techniques and fluid washes of watercolor, but the luster of 100% silk. I use steam set dyes because they have a brilliance that can only be achieved with this method.” Flowers are a favorite subject in Darlene’s paintings, but she has grown to love doing landscapes and southwest scenes.
