ARTIST’S BIO

Pablo is a self-taught artist who grew up as a sixth generation New Mexican, born in Milan, NM near Grants, NM founded by his grandfather. He spent his early years observing the rich culture of the Four Corners area. Pablo's love for art came at an early age as he roamed galleries on visits to Santa Fe. His great aunt married a Laguana man and as a child, Pablo often watched pueblo dances and ceremonials. Much of the subject matter for his art is drawn from these experiences. "I have a great respect for Native Americans, what they have done, and what they have tried to teach us. My use of color shows the power, boldness and beauty of the culture. I exaggerate it to make it the center of attention."
